Now it’s Saturday, the sun is spotty but the clouds are AMAZING and the wind. OMG the wind. It’s powerful. I am driving to Badwater this morning and I will make a few stops along the way. Meanwhile, I find myself chillin’ to Creedence Clearwater on my XM Radio equipped rental car. There’s no radio station within 100 miles, so this “gift” is very appreciated. And I need this rock and roll energy to get me moving.
I am now three days into my trip and I am starting to miss my peeeps. Wish you were with me driving through this magnificent countryside. I would tell you stories that would make you laugh, make you cry. You have stories for me too. Tell me everything.
So easy to see the makings of this world from this place, the simplicity of what’s here compared to the complicated lives we create. Hey, I like my complicate life but this contrast has been wonderful.
First stop is Dante’s View. It’s really windy today, like fall-down windy and even walking is a challenge. To make this harder, it’s dropped 30 degrees since driving up this mountain pass. It was worth it.
The sky and clouds are amazing today. Just like yesterday but better. Other than the wind, it’s nearly perfect.
While this next image is hard to see being so small, it’s actually 6 photos stitched together to show the vast, endless mountains with the sky showing off some of the more beautiful cloud formations I’ve ever seen. When I publish it in a portfolio it will be much easier to see.
Anyone up for a round of golf? Next stop is Devil’s Golf Course. Remember, these names are from the 1800’s – who says they didn’t have a sense of humor….
Just one more and I will have to get going. This last shot is one more glorious cloud photo. I can’t help it. I just love clouds!
Next stop for me is out into the dark. I am not sure if that’s even possible, I will show you what happens later.
