Hey, I was bored. It was a Saturday afternoon and I was working on a longer term project, to reorganize my hard drive and get all my images in the proper place, all through Lightroom. It’s tedious but rewarding to feel the satisfaction of seeing everything in it’s correct place, with tags and sizes. So it was time to tackle Prague. It’s been 5 years since I made that trip and I didn’t have a “modern” digital camera back then. Just a 5 megapixel CoolPix. I did shoot mostly raw so that’s an advantage.
What I found were little treasures that needed some modern editing. I loaded up a few and started using my tools to see what I could extract. I came across a door, badly lit and not well composed. With a little work I was able to make it look like this:
And several others which also needed a little help:
These are not amazing but they were absolutely terrible before I spent about 5 minutes on each, using the terrific tools in Lightroom 3.0 to clean them up. At that point I couldn’t stop myself! I went through the whole gallery and updated all the images and I thought the improvements were worthwhile.
Go to the Prague Gallery and see for yourself.
